David is the Senior Partner at Bott and Co. He established the firm with Paul Hinchliffe and Gary Froggatt in January 2001. The trio shared a vision they remain committed to today, namely to provide an unrivalled service to individual clients.
He is highly regarded within the legal industry and is a member of The Law Society.
As well as being a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), David also served as the APIL President from April 2011 to April 2012.
Caring greatly about the rights of claimants, he has been heavily involved with the RTA claims Portal via the Project Steering Group, and is now a Director of Portal Co.
Further adding to his wealth of experience in the industry, from 2008 to 2010 he was the APIL Representative on the Law Society Council and a member of the Law Society’s Civil Justice Committee.
In 2014, he was shortlisted for The Law Society Gazette’s Legal Personality of the Year Award.
David trained at a general high street practice in Stockport. After qualifying, he worked as a commercial litigator at Keoghs in Bolton (a defendant insurer practice). He is well versed in dealing with the most demanding of clients, often in both complex and challenging situations, having represented individuals from a range of backgrounds for several years.

Passionate about educating people on their legal rights, David regularly lectures on Business Management, the changes in law and the Protocols, Personal Injury Law and Flight Delay Compensation Law.
He regularly speaks at APIL conferences and has appeared on BBC1 (The One Show, Watchdog, Rip-Off Britain, North West Tonight), BBC Radio 4 (Moneybox, You and Yours), BBC Radio 5 live and BBC local radio stations.

Having been extensively involved in the MOJ streamline process, David sits on the “MedCo” board, as the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) representative.
April 2006 – April 2019 elected to the Executive Committee of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He was also elected to the Executive Committee of the Legal Management Section of the Law Society and sat on the Committee until 2012. During that time he served as Vice Chairman for two years.
