Karen Hall is a Multi-Track Fee Earner, dealing predominantly with Road Traffic Accident claims. Her career in the legal industry started when she was 21 years old when she worked as a Secretary. Her hard work and quick grasp of how the claims process works saw her complete her CILEx course and to move into a Fee Earner role, as she felt she had gained enough experience to allow her to run a her own caseload.

Prior to solely focussing on her legal career, Karen worked in the hospitality industry in UK and abroad, where she learnt the importance of excellent customer service and the importance of keeping clients happy.

Karen is fearless and tenacious in her role, representing her clients with relentless determination. She prides herself on being approachable and attentive to her clients’ needs, but also recognises the importance of being realistic and appropriately managing her clients’ expectations.

When asked what the most rewarding part of her job is, she said: “Achieving a good settlement for a client who I have worked closely with who has suffered serious injuries in an accident, to enable them to use the money to make life a little easier for them.”

Karen is confident and experienced in Fast Track and Multi-Track personal injury work, dealing with more high value work, and finds it very rewarding.

She is motivated by client care, and ensuring she gets the right level of treatment and support for clients whose life has been affected by an accident.

Her success in this area of personal injury is because she has an eye for detail and isn’t shy about giving difficult advice. Her straightforward approach means she deals with cases pragmatically, negotiating hard to get the best compensation for clients.

Her wealth of experience has seen her recover large settlements for her clients:

“I achieved a good settlement at around £120K for a client, whose life had been turned around after a quad bike accident, leaving him with physical injuries but more substantially very serious psychological injury, which had changed his personality. I had very regular involvement with both him and his partner and we were able to negotiate a good settlement figure for him, which would allow him to seek any further treatment required and potentially retrain in a different profession giving him a livelihood and a new sense of purpose,” says Karen.

She works hard to ensure the process of making a claim is as straightforward as possible for the client.

Outside work she enjoys travel, baking, cake decorating and photography. She has also completed a half marathon on 3 occasions to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
