Nick is a Senior Multi Track Fee Earner at Bott and Co, where he largely deals with high value and complex RTA cases. He joined the firm in 2012 and has a particular interest in representing innocent cyclist and motorcyclists.
Since childhood, he has had a keen interest in cars so working in claims meant that his work still had some relation to his passion.
He takes immense pride is his work and takes all necessary steps to ensure that his clients are afforded the opportunity to achieve access to justice.
Nick has extensive litigation experience, largely involving personal injury claims against insurance companies.
Prior to his time at Bott and Co, Nick spent three years working in-house for an industry leading firm of solicitors and prior to this, worked for a national insurance company dealing with a varied caseload of non-litigated credit hire and personal injury defendant matters.
“I have seen first-hand, the suffering and hardship people endure when they are injured due to the negligence of others. For me, it is rewarding to do my bit to help them along their road to recovery, not only from the traumatic experience of actually being involved in an accident but more importantly, the life changing injuries that sometimes follow.”
“My previous experience has seen me develop the skills and knowledge r to go head to head with insurance companies on a daily basis to get each client what they fully deserve.”
A CILEx qualified Chartered Legal Executive; Nick combines persistence and compassion in a style that achieves great results for the firm’s personal injury clients. He is deeply passionate about recovering compensation for those who have suffered serious injuries at the hands of others.
He also has sole responsibility of handling a small portfolio of complex contractual disputes for large commercial clients on behalf of Bott and Co.
Nick strives to ensure that his clients are well informed of how their matter is progressing and what options are available to them at every step of the process. He has a passion for his work, empathy and an understanding that helps him communicate effectively with his clients.
“My motivation is the constant challenge of successfully representing and continuing to fight hard for innocent victims of road traffic accidents that have suffered life changing injuries through no fault of their own, despite the constant pressures placed on the industry generally,” he says.
Apart from completing his CILEx course, two notable career successes to date have been achieving over £250k for a motorcyclist following a life changing knee injury sustained in a road traffic accident and successfully negotiating a settlement of over £200k for a pedestrian who suffered a serious shoulder injury and significant psychological injuries having been knocked down outside her place of work.
Outside work, Nick has always been an avid sports fan and a lifelong Burnley FC season ticket holder. In his early days, he had an ambition of becoming a professional footballer, a journey that allowed him to represent Lancashire County, Liverpool FC and his hometown team amongst others. He also enjoys golf and travelling with his wife when his busy schedule allows.
